DAV college, Chandigarh, founded in 1958 has been in limelight from the past few months when it's alumni brought laurels to the country by winning the gold medal in Tokyo Olympics, 2024 and made the whole country proud.The college is well known for its campus life, Placements and the faculty. The managing committee of the college includes Padam Shri Punam Suri Ji who is the president and principal Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma.The college's motive is to nurture the budding minds in a wholesome way so as to make them future ready.

The college offers a wide range of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level in different fields. Some of the most prominent courses are as follows:
