Lourde College of Nursing was established in the year 2002 and is affiliated with the Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kottayam. The Institute has received certification from the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The aim of the college is to provide education in nursing with academic excellence by maintaining its global standards to compete with the other and helps in developing a mind of innovation etc. The Institute helps in developing the potential of the student with the various skills, interaction with the new technique for well being to serve the society with their services and human kind nature.

The Institute offers only programs at the undergraduate and at the Diploma level in the stream of Medicines and Allied Science and in the sciences. In Allied and Medical Science and also for the science streams it allows admission to the Bachelor's in Science (B.Sc) in the fields of nursing while at the diploma level in the Medicines and Allied Science it allows admission to the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). 

Eligibility criteria

The minimum qualifications of AISSCE examination from any boards with physics, chemistry and biology as their core papers will be considered for the eligibility of the variety of the programs offered by the Institute. Also candidates must have to pass in each of their core papers. 

Admission Process

Admission process for this Institute will be complete before 31st of October every year. The admission will be done based on the merit of the candidates in three slots as per the rules and regulations of the government of Kerala. The admission process will start immediately after the declaration of the results for the HSE examination. Interested applicants may visit the official website for the same.
