About the college

Peet Memorial College is located in the district of Alapuzha in Kerala. It was conceived by Madhya Kerala Diocese of Church South India in the year 1960. It is a co-education minority educational institute and is aided by the government. The college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by NAAC with an A grade. It is affiliated to Kerala University. The college premises spread over 5 acres and have amenities like hostel accommodations for girls with 24/7 electricity, power backup, well ventilated rooms and mess. The campus library is well stocked with books, journals, encyclopaedias and newspapers and magazines. The college has a computer lab, psychology lab, language lab, social science lab, playground, classrooms equipped with smart boards, computers and Wi-Fi connectivity. The college for the convenience and all round development of students’ has a reading club, grievance redressal cell, research cell, health club, nature club, tourism club, anti-ragging cell, placement cell and women study cell.

PMTC Admission 2024 

The college offers two courses; Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master degree of Education (M.Ed.). The courses span 2 years and are based on the semester system. The Bachelor degree is a full time aided course. It is taught in English and has an intake of 50 students. The subjects offered during the course are English, Commerce, Social Science, Physical Science, Mathematics and Natural Science. The master’s degree has an intake of 50 students and is a self-financed course. The admission is done online on the college website. Eligibility

For admission to B.Ed. the candidate must have passed a graduation course from a recognised institute with a 50% score. For admission to M.Ed. the candidate should have cleared B.Ed. with a 55% score from an institution that is recognised by the University of Kerala.
