About the college

PK DAS Institute of Medical Sciences is a private college situated in Ottapalam, Kerala. It was established in 2014. It is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The founder of the college is late P.K.Das.

It is also approved by MCI. It currently offers only one UG course which is MBBS. 

It has some amazing facilities like library, auditorium, cafeteria, gym etc. It also has sports and extracurricular activities to refresh and recharge the minds of exhausted students. The college also conducts an annual fest. There is also scholarship facilities available for the meritorious students who come from a poor background.

The candidates wanting to apply for the MBBS degree must have appeared and qualified for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). They must also have 50 percentage marks in their 10+2 schooling from a recognised board. The candidates have to appear for counselling and select this college as their choice in order to get admission.

Eligibility

The candidate must have a minimum 50 percentage marks in 10+2 schooling which they should have done from a recognised University. They must have a subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their 10+2 in order to be eligible for this course.

There is 5 percent relaxation for ST SC candidates as per the norms.

UG course

The UG course offered by this college is MBBS. It is a 5.5 years full time on campus course. It includes one year mandatory internship. The total number of intake is 150.

The annual fee is ₹707000. The candidates are groom into becoming well trained doctors of tomorrow. They have various on-hand experiences in order to learn the art of medicine and surgery.
