R J Tibrewal Commerce College (previously known as L.J. College of Commerce) was founded in 1982 with the goal of providing tomorrow's society with leaders and innovators. Principal B. M Peerzada, a distinguished academician who served as Dean-Faculty of Commerce at Gujarat University from 1971 to 1972, 1976 to 1979, and 1979 to 1982, accepted the challenge. He had the knowledge and skills to tackle this Herculean endeavour, and he gathered seven famous academics from the Who's Who of academia for the occasion.

To foster an environment in which innovative ideas, delivery techniques, and scholarship bloom, and from which tomorrow's leaders and innovators emerge.

Affiliation

On March 6, 1985, the University Grants Commission gave the college recognition under Sections 2F and 12b.

On June 15, 1982, the institution was given affiliation with Gujarat University.

BCOM

Bachelor of Commerce is a three-year degree programme that includes classroom instruction. Within the restrictions of Gujarat University, the College offers three permutation combinations in which a student can graduate with Advanced Accounting & Auditing, Advanced Statistics, or Computer Applications as primary topics.

Masters of Commerce is a two-year degree programme that includes classroom instruction. The primary topic at the college is Advanced Accounting & Auditing.

FACILITIES

LIBRARY

The RJTCC library is a true information gem, with a total carpet space of 1650 sq.ft and seating capacity of around 80 pupils. All amenities are available to students 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are only permitted to borrow two books at a time.

The library includes 18600 volumes and 142 periodicals, including 7 e-journals on subjects such as Economics, Management, Information Technology, and Interior Design, Cooking, Literature, Sports, GK, Fashion, Film, Competitive Exams, and Health, as well as peer-reviewed journals on diverse themes.

WIFI

R.J.Tibrewal Commerce College was a forerunner in Ahmedabad in offering Computer Education at the graduate level. Computer Science is now available as a Subject Elective as well as a Core Elective at the college.

Students have access to three well-equipped, air-conditioned laboratories with the most recent computer configurations from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

All laboratories have access to a Local Area Network with internet access. The campus has Wi-Fi access.

Classrooms

There are 13 well-ventilated, 825 sq.ft. classrooms with 40-44 seats in the campus. All rooms are equipped with microphones and OHPs.

Sports

One area is somewhat bigger, at 900 square feet, and is ideal for conferences or workshops.

College sports events are held all year and have served as a breeding ground for national and international talent.

The college offers an indoor sports room with indoor games.

On campus, students can use a table tennis room.

Gujarat University courts and grounds are available for volleyball, football, softball, and handball teams to train on.

The Gujarat University Cinder Track is used by all athletes for practise and competition.

The Gujarat Vidyapith Halls host the badminton selections.
