About the college
St. Thomas College of Nursing was established in the year 2002 by the Archdiocese Changanessery. The college is located in district Kottayam in Kerala.
The college has Advance Skill lab, Child Health and Nursing lab, Anatomy lab, Community Health and Nursing lab and Computer lab. The college has hostel facilities for girls on campus. The hostels have electricity back up, recreation room, mess and television sets. The college also has transportation facilities for students living off the campus. The college library is full of necessary text books, journals, periodicals and reference texts relating to the courses.
The college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) in Thrissur. It is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council in New Delhi and has been approved by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC).
St. Thomas College of Nursing Chethipuzha Admission 2024
The college offers two courses i.e. Bachelor degree of Science (B.Sc.) in nursing and Master degree of Science (M.Sc) in nursing. The courses span 4 years and 2 years respectively. The curriculum for the courses is set as per the guidelines of Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).
The admission forms to both the courses are available on the official website of Association of the Managements of Christian Self Financing Nursing Colleges of Kerala (AMCSFNCK). The students can register on the website and then appear for entrance tests as notified.
Eligibility
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The candidate should be of 17 years of age and should have obtained at least 50% in 10+2 from CBSE/ ICSE/ State Board with English as compulsory subject Science stream (PCB).
Master of Science in Nursing
The student should have passed B.Sc. course in nursing (Basic) and/ or B.Sc. in nursing (Post Basic) with at least 55% score and he/she should have a minimum work experience of 1 year after B.Sc.
