About the college

St Thomas College of Teacher Education, Idukki, was established in 2005 and administered by the Corporate Educational Agency. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University - [MGU]. It is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (N.C.T.E.). The College is located at Mylacompu, a picturesque land-scape surrounded by lush green fields.The college has all the modern physical infrastructure and other facilities like computer lab, science lab, work experience lab, educational technology lab, Psychology lab, Language lab etc. and well-resourced with a team of highly qualified and experienced teachers. The college offers career guidance and counselling under each faculty.

STCTM Admission 2024 

The courses offered by the college are Bachelor’s of education and Master of Education and are for 2 years. The teaching will be in offline mode and ton campus. These are full-time courses. One can opt for this course after the successful completion of their Bachelor’s degree. The master of education is for post-graduation and these graduates can find many job opportunities in government as well as private institutions.

Eligibility

  • The students must hold a graduation degree and must have completed their secondary level of education with an aggregate of 50% marks or more.
  • Those belonging to the reserved categories must have at least 45% marks ad their minimum aggregate to be eligible for the courses.
  • The student must have specialisation in the discipline he/ she chooses.
  • After meeting all the eligibility requirements the students will be called for a counselling and interview session and then further admission processes will be carried forward.
