About the college

St. Xavier’s Training College for Women, Aluva was established in 2005 by C.T.C sisters and is named after its patron saint Francis Xavier. It is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University and is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. The college offers an undergraduate program in the discipline of Education. The institute has a training and placement cell that bridges a gap between students and industry. The cell organises various training sessions such as Pre-Placement Talks, Group Discussions, Workshops, Mock Interviews, Internships and many more. The placement and training cell interacts with reputed organisations all over the country for arranging campus interviews for the placement of final year students St. Xavier’s has highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The faculty is known for its leadership in education. They are the most distinguished scholars, who constantly do research in their respective fields. The institute has a team of highly qualified faculty members, the majority of them have long teaching experience and are associated with the institution for many years. The faculty include 6 Assistant Professors, 1 Coach and 4 Non-Teaching Staff.

Eligibility

• Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed course in a subject/stream will have to satisfy the academic eligibility applicable to the subject/stream.
• The candidates must obtain at least 50% marks in the 10+2 level of education and must hold a graduate degree in their choice of discipline.
• Relaxation is provided to the reserved categories as they are required to score at least 45% marks.
