About the College

In 2002, the Society celebrated its Platinum Jubilee. To mark the event, the Society decided to enter the sphere of higher education by establishing a Five Year Law Degree Course College in Akola. There was no such college in Akola at the time. As a result, Akola Law College was founded in 2004-05. The Maharashtra Government granted permission to the Society to establish a five-year law degree course college on a permanent no-grant basis in its letter No. NGC 2004/ (1/04)/MS-4 dated July 15, 2004. The college is connected with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, which gave its first affiliation in September 2004 by letter no. AU/8/C-2274/2004. The Bar Council of India, New Delhi, approved the college's affiliation on April 25, 2005, with letter No. BCI: D: 776/2005 (LE:Mtg) (53-Maharashtra-T). From the academic year 2005-2006, the college began normal operations by accepting students to the LL.B. Five Year Integrated Course. From the academic year 2009-2010, the college launched LL.M. courses in five classes, namely (a) Criminal Law, (b) Business Law, (c) Constitutional and Administrative Law, (d) Corporate Law, and (e) Human Rights, and LL. B. Three Year Degree Course from the academic year 2017-2018.
