The Berhampur University Distance Education Center was founded in 1987, named after the late Rajasaheb Harihara Mardaraji, the former Harikote House in the Ganjam district. The center currently offers a total of 28 students / positions (graduate and specialized courses). It arranged contact classes for students offering graduate, professional and undergraduate courses with a strength of at least 25 students on a given subject. We are very pleased that the enrollment of all courses at the Center has reached a remarkable level. The advisory board, chaired by the director, serves as the center's policy-making body. The purpose of the center is to provide educational facilities, especially for those who are unable to attend regular courses due to financial or other reasons. It is also advisable to provide viable alternative teaching methods to students who are unable to devote all the time needed to college students due to social or other difficulties. In addition, the center aims to provide higher education to individuals of all ages and genders, people on duty, people with other disabilities, and people living in remote areas. COURSE ADMISSION

Learning materials are provided to MBA course students in the form of modules. The Center has arranged contact classes for graduate and specialized courses offered at the four Node College Centers, especially for students pursuing undergraduate courses. During the contact program and exams, hostel accommodation is also offered to students outside DE Mode.

In addition, DEC has reintroduced the teaching materials and student bags provided to students enrolled in the three-year major (arts, science, business) from the day of spot admission.

Students must pass a 10 + 2 exam to enroll in a bachelor's degree program offered in distance learning mode. To enroll in a graduate program, students must have a bachelor's degree in the relevant field.
