About The College

The district government hospital and medical college in Bidar, Karnataka, commonly known by its initials BRIMS, is an autonomous institution under the Karnataka government. The college is connected with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka and is approved by the Indian Medical Council.

It was originally assigned to the 300-bed District Hospital of Bidar before being elevated to the 750-bed New BRIMS Teaching Hospital. The eight-story, newly constructed structure, which was opened in 2017, has several departmental OTs, a central lab, and modernized technology. The institution offers undergrad and grad programs in a range of specialties. The annual intake for MBBS increased from 100 initially to 150 starting in 2017. Admission is done using NEET UG.

Post-graduate positions are available in the departments of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, forensic medicine, as well as community medicine.
