Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences which is also known as CIDS is located on the top of a hill in  Virajpet town of Kodagu, Karnataka. The institution was established in the year of 1999. The college is affiliated to  Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore the institution is recognized by the Dental Council of India, the Government of Karnataka and it is also recognized by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The college has a good infrastructure. They have all the facilities provided for the students. They have a well maintained campus with all the facilities provided for the students. The college provided hostel facilities for the students. The hostel is well maintained and neat. The food provided in the mess is also good and the mess is also well maintained. The faculty provided for the students are also good. They are well educated and have a good knowledge in the field. They also have a good friendly relationship with the students. All the faculty members are with good experience. They provide all the help for the students and the students can approach them anytime for help. They give all the support for the students so they can give the society a good number of doctors. Many of the faculty members are specialised in different modern treatment facilities.
