The Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka, established the Government One Class University in Asikere in 2006. It is associated with the University of Mysore and offers an art, design, and economics program. This university now has about 217 new students in Co-Education UG Graduate schools such as B.A. and B.Com. The Institute is well-liked because of its efficient teaching and learning methods. The Institute has two brand-new structures, one of which is inhabited and the other one is under construction. Our university has received UGC recognition under 2(f) and 12(b). It should be mentioned that the institution now has a large facility of 10 acres of property located 3 miles from the nearest town and near B H Road.
The university does have a very great network of famous alumni who help to direct the school in their unique ways. The government has received lakhs in the last four years, and the money has been well used on building infrastructure like labs, classrooms, women's waiting rooms, etc. Seven educators work with the students to instil the principles of the arts, commerce, and administration as well as socially conscious concerns. The teachers, who identify as lifelong learners, prefer the experiential method over the textbook method. Teachers from a variety of backgrounds and specialities congregate on campus, providing students with a wealth of academic opportunities.
