Government Polytechnic Arvi [GPA] is an institution located in Wardha, Maharashtra. It was established in 1990. The college is affiliated to the MSBTE (Maharashtra State board of Technical Education) and is recognised by DTE (Directorate Of Technical Education) and AICTE (All India Council For Technical Education). The driving mission of GPA is to improve the knowledge of technical education among rural Maharashtra by providing educational programs and additionally being involved in training, testing, consultancy, and community polytechnic schemes. Facilities that furnish the campus are library, laboratory, placement cell, student training, various events, a range of workshops etc. The institute is further linked with the national scholarship portal through which students can apply for financial aid on a basis of merit. Educational programs offered by GPA cover the primary basic courses for any interested student of technical education.

The courses that are offered by the college are within the departments of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics And Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Science And Humanities. 

Eligibility

The criteria for technical courses is to primarily have a pass grade in the student's 12th level of education, while subjects like Physics, Biology, Chemistry or Maths must have a score of atleast 50% (for general category) and 45% (for SC/ST category). Another prerequisite for study in technical education is to present a proof of qualification in a competitive centralised examination like AIEEE, JEE, or BITSAT. 

Process

Students must procure the application forms either from the office or the online portal. A fee will have to be paid for the cost of the application itself. After filling the required information, important documents must be attached with the application form before submitting. These would include academic mark sheets, passport size photographs, proofs of Identity and certifications of transfer, eligibility, migration etc.
