The Indian Agricultural Research Institute also known as the Pusa Institute located in New Delhi, India. It is India's national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. Earlier, it was located in Bihar but due to a major earthquake it was relocated to Delhi in 1936. The campus is spread over 500 hectares. The institute in Delhi is financed and administered by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute is affiliated with Agricultural Research Institute. IARI is the leading Institute for 5he agricultural research and education. There are many schools under IARI, like the School of Crop Improvement, School of Plant Protection, etc. The institute has 20 divisions 5 multidisciplinary Centers situated in Delhi, 8 regional stations, 2 off-season nurseries, 3 All India Coordinated Research Projects with headquarters at IARI and 10 national centers functioning under the all India coordinated research projects.

They offer MSc., M.Tech and Ph.D courses in 26 different disciplines to the students. The institute has separate entrance examinations and courses they offer are based on entrance based examination. Admissions of M.Sc. and M.Tech courses are based on entrance examination merit list and for Ph.D courses selection is based on entrance examination (80% weightage) + academic score (10% weightage) + interview( 10% weightage).
