Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) for Women is located in Lajpat Nagar, South Delhi affiliated to Delhi University. LSR is a well known college for women with a large acres of area. The college was established by late Lala Shri Ram in loving memory of his wife Lady Shri Ram Phoolan Devi in 1956. The history of the college tells that the college was first started up on a school building in Daryaganj  in Central Delhi with 243 students, nine faculty and four non teaching staff. The main vision of LSR was to provide good higher education for women and the college had succeeded in their vision. Along with this LSR have their mission to empower women and provide a world of knowledge to them.

At present, the college is located on fifteen acres with a beautiful campus in South Delhi. The college has approximately 2000 students, over 150 faculty with a good administrative and supporting staff. LSR provides sixteen courses of study. LSR college  ranked second in India by the NIRF in 2024. Also NAAC have accredited the college with A grade and a CPGA of 3.61

Apart from this they also provide honours in B.Com. In addition to this they also have BA programme courses and one year diploma courses. They also have a four year elementary teacher education programme. The BA programmes include following combinations:

 The admission procedure of LSR is through online mode. Students need to apply online on the students  portal provided by University of Delhi. For the four year professional elementary teacher-education programme there is an Entrance Examination conducted by the CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION (CIE), at the Main Campus of the University of Delhi.
