Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya [SJSV] is located in Puri, odisha. It was established in the year 1987 by the government of Odisha to promote the Sanskrit language. It has been accredited as a grade "B" Institute by the NAAC and has been approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC) . The Institute has a well maintained central library, classrooms, seminar hall, canteen etc.

Admission to this Institute will be done one for the undergraduate courses and the other for the postgraduate courses in the various streams of Art, social science and humanities and the other one in education. Eligibility criteria

The basic requirement for the post graduate programs is candidates should have to pass their Bachelor's Degree from any UGC recognised University with an aggregate of minimum 55% marks and for the undergraduate courses candidate needs to pass their 10 + 2 examination from a recognised board or any equivalent exam as well.
