Tamil Naidu Agricultural University is an agricultural university in Coimbatore, Tamil Naidu, India. Earlier, it was established at Chennai, Tamil Naidu, India in 1868 which was later relocated at Coimbatore in 1906. In 1920, it was affiliated to the Madras University. The Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore,  was the only institute for Agricultural Education for the whole of South India till 1946. It was recognized as a Post-graduate Centre leading to masters and doctoral degrees in 1958. The university was acknowledged by NAAC and ICAR. The Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai established in 1965 became the core of Tamil Naidu Agricultural University while it was established in 1971.

 They provide facilities like library, hostel, sport facilities, WIFI campus, Auditorium, Laboratories. The University has largest library of Coimbatore. The university admissions are both merit and entrance based. The university offers 13 Undergraduate Degree Programs, 29 Post-Graduate Degree Programs and 26 Doctoral Programs in 14 colleges distributed in 11 campuses all over Tamil Naidu. The university has research programs at more than 32 stations across Tamil Naidu with more than 1200 scientists and teaching faculty and over 7501 students. The NIRF ranked 44th in 2019. Internationally, it was ranked 130th among BRICS by the QS World University Rankings of 2019. It was also ranked 45th by the Outlook. They offers courses like B.Tech. , B.Sc., Diploma, M.Tech. ,M.Sc. , MBA, M.Phil.+Ph.D, etc.
