The SNR Rural Education Trust provides financial assistance to the Vidyarashmi School of Nursing. 2005 marked the beginning of operations at the new educational institution. It has completed the necessary paperwork and is now connected with the Karnataka Nursing Council. It has received approval from both the INC and the Government of Karnataka. The infrastructure at this college is state of the art, and it provides all of the required facilities for both the teaching staff and the student body. The members of the college's faculty have the appropriate levels of education and experience in their particular fields of study. The library at the college is large and offers a good selection of books. There are around 2600 books that are associated with the topics, with over 1400 reference books available in both English and Kannada. In addition to that, it carries a selection of periodicals, such as journals, encyclopedias, and magazines. For the use of the students, there are around 4000 books in total. Students have the opportunity to join a number of different clubs on campus, and if they do so, they can take part in a variety of extracurricular activities. There are many different clubs available to students at the college level, such as the energy club, cultural club, literary club, etc. The students participate in an internship that lasts for a total of six months. During their time spent interning, students will gain experience in a variety of facets relevant to the area, including health economics, administration, and others. Because having practical knowledge is essential, students are required to watch and practice in clinical settings while being supervised as part of their practical or clinical experience requirements.

It has the potential to accept fifty new students each year into its Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program, which has a duration of three and a half years and is offered to students.
