Adaikalamatha Institute of Teacher Education is a private un-aided Institute established with an objective to meet the needs of quality teachers in the field of education. Situated in Thanjavur, Chennai, it is having affiliation with the Tamilnadu Teacher Education University (TNTEU) . It was founded in the year 2006 by the Adaikalamatha Educational Health and Charitable Trust to provide higher education to the rural people and accredited with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The main aim of the college includes to transform the minds of the youth of our country into a constructive mind who are able to contribute their knowledge inbuilding the future of the forthcoming generation with the help of modern teaching practices and modern Technology. It organises various school curricular activities national and international corporation and area for students for the overall development along with the physical development.
Adaikalamatha Institute of Teacher Education Admission 2024
Admission to this Institute will be offered for the only one full time on-campus course of Graduation programs that is diploma in education (D.Ed) of 2 years duration. Candidates can get admission in this Institute only if they are able to meet the eligibility criteria laid out by the institute and NCTE.
Eligibility
Any graduate in any stream from any recognized university with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks with the general category and 45% marks for the reserved category are eligible to apply for the admission.
