Agriculture College and Research Institute is located in Madurai, Tamilnadu. It was established in the year 1965 for the UG Courses and then upgraded for PG courses in the year 1969.

The first year fees of B.Sc course is about 51,000 and 57,000 for M.Sc and 81,000 for the Ph.D holders.
Admission
- For taking admission in B.Sc course candidates must have to pass a 10+2 exam from any board or any equivalent exam.
- For taking admission in an M.Sc course, candidates must have to pass the B.Sc exam at any recognized university.
- For taking admission in a Ph.D course, candidates must have to complete their master's and have to pass in the Master's examination from any recognized university.
Facilities
- Library-It mainly provides the documents of agriculture, Horticulture, Food science, and all allied subjects. Library is open on all days and also you can issue your desired books on any day. E-Library is also there.
- Computer Labs- It has approx 150 computers with stable high speed internet connectivity. With the help of this, many training and research programs were held to train students.
- Health center- It has a separate gym for both boys and girls with all equipment used in the gym like Rower machine, spin cycle etc.
- Societies- It has separate societies for NSS and NCC to build your career for the welfare or the upliftment of the society. Various activities were done like yoga training, fire fighting,gun firing competition etc were held for the NCC whereas awareness program, Tree planting programs, Health camp, cultural program etc were various activities that were held for NSS.
The faculty members of this Institute are excellent and highly qualified. The Institute has good infrastructure along with a huge playgrounds. It also provides health facilities , hostels and libraries as well.
