About the college
The Ambai Arts college is located in Ambasamudram, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu. It is a general degree college and is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC). As a result of the diligent efforts of the Thirthapathi Higher Secondary School Electorate, the Ambai Arts College was founded in July 1969. It is currently run by the Thirthapathi Higher Secondary School and Ambai Arts College Electorate, Ambasamudram. The College, which is in association with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in Tirunelveli, promotes the pursuit of sound knowledge, character development, and the illumination of spiritual truth. The College educates the students to shape them into better citizens for the nation. The college became a Co-Educational institution in 1976. Under Self-Finance steam B.Com.,(C.A). The college's objective is to mould a generation of young people with knowledge, character, truth, a genuinely cultivated spirit of service, and a far-reaching imagination while preparing students for the expanding demands of the future.
Ambai Arts College, AAC Admission 2024
The institute provides both under graduate as well as graduate courses not only in the stream of Arts but also in commerce stream. Both government aided courses and self financing courses are available here. Admission can be taken either through entrance examination or direct admission.
Eligibility criteria
For admission in undergraduate courses aspirants must have passed 10+2 from any stream with English as a subject with minimum 45% marks in aggregate whereas for Postgraduate courses the candidate should have a bachelor degree in the same or in a relevant field of study along with that a minimum percentage of 50% at the level of graduation is required.
UG and PG admission
A candidate willing to do their graduation here can do so in, there are government funded seats in the department of BA economics, B. Com and self funded seats are in BA English, BCA and B. Com.The college provides post graduation only in the department of economics, MA economics, but this course is a self financing course.
