About the college-

The Bishop College of Nursing, Dharapuram was established in 1991. The Bishop's College of Nursing is a part of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in Chennai and has received approval from both the Indian Nursing Council in New Delhi and the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council in Chennai. A pioneering college in delivering top class results and university rank holders in university examinations is the Bishop's College of Nursing, Dharapuram. The four-year B.Sc nursing degree programme is an undergraduate programme. The M.Sc. in Nursing degree programme lasts for two years. Tamilnadu Dr. MGR. Medical University in Chennai requires students to show up for exams every year. According to university and council standards, they are expected to have clinical experience throughout their whole academic term in both hospitals and community, urban, and rural field practice locations.

Eligibility-

• The criteria for the Bachelor of Science course in Nursing is that the candidate must have completed his or her higher education that is 10+2 from a recognised board of a state board.

• For the Master of Science course of Nursing a candidate should have completed his or her graduation from an accredited college or university of Nursing.

UG Admissions-

• Candidates who want to be considered for admission to the B.Sc. in Nursing programme must submit an application form and certified copies of their credentials. 

• At the time of admission, non-HSC candidates must present an eligibility certificate from the TamilNadu Dr. MGR. Medical University. The student is in charge of obtaining the eligibility certificate on time. 

• Those who receive an interview invitation will show up on the scheduled date. The day following the interview, the list of applicants who have been chosen for the programme will be announced.

PG Admissions-

• In order to be considered for admission to the B.Sc. in Nursing programme, applicants must submit an application form and certified copies of all academic transcripts. 

• The TamilNadu Dr. MGR. Medical University would require the eligibility certificate from non-HSC candidates when they apply for admission. The student is accountable for receiving the eligibility certificate on schedule. 

• All candidates who receive interview invitations must show up on the scheduled date. The day following the interview, the names of those chosen for the programme will be made known.
