About the college

The C. Abdul Hakeem College was established in the year 1965 by the Melvisharam Muslim Educational Society (MMES) which was founded in 1918 by Late Nawab C. Abdul Hakeem. C. Abdul Hakeem College is a government-sponsored private arts and sciences college. It is situated in Melvisharam, Tamil Nadu, India. The college campus is spread over an area of about 21 acres (8.5 ha). The college has a two-story structure with numerous blocks that house all of the classrooms, offices, principal's chambers, separate staff rooms for different departments, laboratories, restrooms, etc. Being a part of Thiruvalluvar University, it is one of the oldest colleges in the Ranipet district. Obtaining an A rating from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. There are now 31 Undergraduate courses available, six Graduate courses, and Ph.D. programmes. University Grants Commission gave it autonomous status with effect from 2014–2015 until 2019–2020.

The Institute aims to achieve academic excellence through the holistic approach and to provide world class teaching in higher education and research for the upliftment of rural community.

C.Abdul Hakeem College Admission 2024 

This Institute offers admission both for undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses. It also provides admission in Ph. D programmes. Admission in UG and PG can either be government aided or self financing but the 2 Ph. D courses provided here are under the self- financing category. Application form is filled and submitted in online mode.

 

Eligibility criteria

The applicant for an undergraduate programme must have completed their class 12th with applicable courses from a recognised board. Candidates for postgraduate programmes must have graduated from an accredited university in a related field.

 

UG admission

This Institute offers undergraduate degrees that are both government-funded and self-funded. There are 7 departments in government aided courses and 6 departments for self funded courses.

 

PG admission

For post graduation programmes, the college offers government aided courses in 5 departments, and self funded courses in 9 departments. It also provides Ph. D courses in zoology and history.
