About the college-

Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu is home to the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), a central university. In accordance with the Central Universities Act, 2009, the Government of India formed CUTN in 2009. The central university's major goal is to offer top-notch education to people who come from the less privileged sectors of society. The Central University began operations in the ancient city of Thiruvarur in November 2009. The university as a whole serves 1650 students, and CUTN offers a wide range of courses to its students. A common entrance test is used for CUTN admission, which is entirely based on merit and open to students living in any area of the nation.

 

CUTN Admission 2024

The CUCET exam will serve as the foundation for admission to all courses. Exams for Integrated/UG/PG programmes and Research programmes will both be administered in offline format.

  • Pick up the CUCET application form offline or online.

  • Complete the application completely, including all personal, academic, communication, and other facts.

  • Upload the most recent scans of your photo and signature.

  • You can pay the application cost offline or online.

  • Take a printout of the completed application and store it securely for future use.

 

Eligibility-

  • Candidates must have earned a minimum of 60% overall in the relevant stream in their 10+2 graduation from an accredited board to be eligible for undergraduate and integrated courses. Based on CUCET merit scores, candidates will be chosen.

  • Candidates need to have earned a Bachelor's degree in the required field with at least a 55% grade point average for the PG course.The performance of the candidate in the CUCET will determine their selection.

  • A Master's degree in the pertinent field with at least 55% of the required marks is the prerequisite for Ph.D. admission. A personal interview and the CUCET will be used to make the decision. Those who have a valid NET, JRF, or GATE score will be exempt from this exam.

 

UG Admissions-

The courses provided by the university under the undergraduate course are as follows:

  • Bachelor of Arts

 

PG Admissions-

The postgraduate program is also available in the university and the courses provided under this program are:

  • Master of Technology 

  • Master of Commerce

  • Master of Laws

  • Master of Philosophy 

  • Master of Science 

  • Master of Arts

All these courses are for a time period of two years each.
