The Alagappa University College of Education launched a B.Ed. Special Education course with such a 25-student enrolment in 2010-2011, thanks to funding from the National Accreditation Board as part of an innovation project. This education department also provides information for IGNOU and ALU-DDE Bachelor. courses.

On July 7, 1950, the renowned philanthropist Dr RM Alaappa Chettiar opened a training institution in Karaikudi. Later, it changed its name to Alagappa University College of Education becoming a member college of the university. The diligent work of education-learning groups offers 100% outcomes. And over 7000 instructors have been produced by the college to date, the bulk of them work in Tamilnadu's government, govt, and matric schools. Several of them have made noteworthy impressions on the schools, and several of them have won awards for outstanding teachers.
ADMISSION PROCESS:
A health examination, a regular quality control assessment, and a gaming test are used to determine admittance to B.P.Ed. and D.P.Ed. programmes. Enrollment in the Bachelor of engineering. The programme is based on entrance examinations, whereas admittance to some other programmes is based on performance.
