About the college

Community Science College and Research Institute, Madurai was previously set up as Department of Home Science. It became fully operational in 1980. Over the years the institute has undergone different technological as well as latest developments in the field of education in order to provide a full fledged education experience to their students the institute has emerged as a leading centre in the fields of family resource management community science human development and family studies as well as Food Science and nutrition. The institute has set up a department for differently abled students following the guidelines provided by University Grants Commission. Their main aim is to provide good quality education to the students in their chosen field of study by developing skills. They organise different academic exchange programs by taking help from different National and international agencies as well as have collaborated with different industry players, government sector and entrepreneurs to strengthen the value they are delivering to their students. Facilities include hostel Health Centre placement cell national service scheme National Cadet corps sports computer centre and Library. Multiple scholarships are provided to the students as well as they are motivated to take part in student clubs, different research projects are undertaken and proper research facilities are provided to the students.

7. extension education and communication management.

Undergraduate postgraduate and PhD degree programs are provided under these departments.

Process 

Admission is done by the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Students can fill up the application form of the university after which they are called for offline counselling sessions and a rank list is prepared separately for different candidates belonging to separate categories. Reservation criterias have been followed keeping in mind the respective governments notification.
