About the college
The prestigious Jayaraj Nursing College Madurai (CSI JACON Madurai) is located in Pasumalai, Madurai. It was established in the year 1993 and is affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennaivl. It has been approved by INC (Indian Nursing Council). In order to help students become more patient-centered in their thinking and to successfully inculcate in them a strong desire to serve mankind, its vision and goal are focused on giving them the greatest education possible.

The college provides three programmes
B.Sc Nursing for a duration of 4 years
M.Sc Nursing for 2 years and PhD in Nursing for 3 years. Admission is based on entrance exam and entrance test will be held as per the venue indicated in the Admission ticket. The entrance test will contain only objective typesm questions. A Candidate must also be medically fit to pursue this course.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates seeking admission in Bsc nursing should have 50% or more marks in the aggregate of 4 subjects including English (Core /Elective), Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided the student has passed in each subject separately from a recognized school.
Similarly for Msc nursing the candidate must have a Graduate Degree in B.Sc (Nursing) or an equivalent degree with a 55 percent grade point average and one year of experience after registration.
UG and PG admission
B.Sc. Nursing admission is based on entrance exams which consist of multiple choice questions. Child health paediatric nursing, community health nursing, medical cardio thoracic nursing, mental health psychiatric nursing, medical oncology nursing, obstetrics and gynecological nursing. These are the various specialities in which a candidate can do their M. Sc in nursing.
