Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University were established in 2015 in New Delhi. The campus is spread over an area of 10.36 acres. The college is offering diplomas, certificates. Undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. The University promotes comprehensive learning as well as teaching and even conducts research to serve different sectors of the industry. Got a title of first Pharmacy University in India and third in the world. The University is fully supported or contributed by the State Government and got the recognition of the UGC under 2f  and section 22. The college started with D.Pharm. in polytechnic in 1964 then it was renamed again as College of Pharmacy in 1972 and then in 2094 to Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research and then converted to DPSRU.

Eligibility criteria

For B.Pharm., D.Pharm., B.Pharm.(Ayurved), BBA(Community Healthcare), BMLT, DMLT, Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Candidates who want to get admitted to the university must have at least 55% marks in total and individually in PCM or PCB with English as one of the subjects in the intermediate and for SC/ST minimum of 50% is necessary. Or even has qualified for an equivalent exam including NIOS by the Pharmacy Council of India.

Candidates are selected on the basis of a merit list that is produced by the college. Marks of any three subjects are taken either math or biology followed by physics and then chemistry. But for BPT, biology marks are considered even if one has taken math and biology.

For B.Pharm.(Lateral Entry)

To get admitted to this course, one must have cleared D.Pharm from any institute which has been approved by PCI.

For Masters in Hospital Administration, M.P.H.

Applicants must have cleared any of the following degrees.: MBBS/ B.Pharm./ BDS/ BUMS/ BAMS/BPT/ BHMS from those colleges which are approved by their respective councils of India. Also, candidates must score a minimum of 55% in their bachelor's degree, and for OBC/SC/ST a relaxation of 5% is given.

For PGD in Plant Tissue Culture

Candidates have to clear their bachelor's degree which can be B.Pharm. Or B.Sc.(Agriculture, Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology)

For PH.D.

The applicants who want to enroll for the Ph.D. program in the University should have a Master's certification with a minimum of 60%  in Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Business Studies/ Hospital Administration/ Physiotherapy or some other unified subject. The candidates are enrolled if they clear the entrance exam for Ph.D. which is followed by a personal interview. And if one has a valid scorecard of either GPAT or GATE and has fellowships from Central or State Government may not be required to give the entrance exam.
