About the college

Government Arts College for Women is situated in Krishnagiri. This college is affiliated to Periyar University and full fills the educational need of all girls students of Krishnagiri District. Government Arts college for women was established in the year 1992. The college was named Annai Sandhiya Government Arts College for Women prior, as per the G.O. No: 800 dated 26/08/1993 and later pertaining to the higher education Government Order No: 569 dated 12/01/1997, the college was renewed as Government Arts College for Women. The primary Moto of college is to provide quality education to the backward class women child and women community of the downtrodden students. The college has grown faster in literary very less time. The main aim of college is to striring toward achieving global competition among the students and enhancing education. The academic session of the college was started in 1992 with only 112 students, 9 facility numbers and 8 and teaching staffs. The college campus is constructed in 5.28 hectares area looks so malicious. The college became as the beacen light for the women's of their society. In the academic season 1998 to 1999 English language of the girls the college is doing best for the society and for their students.
