About the college
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Srirangam is also known as IIT, Trichy. They envision providing world-class education in the field of information and technology. They want to develop themselves as a center of excellence to impart top-class institutions to provide quality education to meet the needs of students to make them competent. It has been formed out of a public-private partnership developed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Government of India. The funding of this Institute is done by the government of India, the Government of Tamilnadu, and other industry partners. Some of the top industry partners of the institute include Infosys Tata Consultancy Services ELCOT, Take Solutions, and Cognizant Technology Solutions. The college has formed different academic and nonacademic clubs such as web development club comparative coding club Robotics club circuits club iot club photography club literary and debating club aesthetic club science club Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat club Sports Club yoga Club Media Club all these clubs have been assigned a faculty member as well as student coordinators to administer the activities conducted under their purview.
Indian Institute of Information Technology Admission 2024
The college has four departments namely-
- Department of computer science and engineering
- Department of electronics and communication engineering
- Department of mechanical engineering
- Department of science and humanities
Courses include undergraduate programs in computer science and engineering and electronics and communication engineering both are 4-year courses in Bachelor of Technology under postgraduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering as well as VLSI systems in Masters of Technology are provided which are two-year courses apart from that doctoral programs in computer science and engineering electronics and communication engineering Mechanical Engineering and Science and Humanities such as physics mathematics economics and English are offered.
Eligibility & Process
Undergraduate courses- A student interested in taking admitted to an undergraduate program, or has to appear for the JEE Main examination. After appearing for the above examination students are allocated seats based on scores obtained through joint seat allocation authority and centralized seat allocation board. Reservation criteria laid down by the government of India are also taken into consideration.
Postgraduate courses- for securing a seat in postgraduate courses students can register online and pay the application fee they also need to select the courses after that the institute releases a seat allotment list wear in students can find their names and accept the seat by paying the fees and uploading the documents a document verification is conducted by the institute to give a confirmation subsequent list are announced as per the remaining seats at that time.
