About the college

The benevolent philanthropist Thiru K. Ramasamy, the head of the National Educational and Charitable Trust, Kovilpatti, founded the K. R. College of Arts & Science. This trust was created in 1984–1985 while Thiru K. Ramasamy served as its chairman. The Chairman made the decision to establish K. R. College of Arts & Science, a self-supporting arts and sciences college (Co-Education). The college is affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. The College is being built on a plot of land measuring 10 acres and 5.5 cents at Kovilpatti, on the National Highway NH7, about 4 kilometres from the town of Kovilpatti, and in a good rural environment. This institution's mission is to provide students in the Kovilpatti area who are struggling financially with higher education. Now, our college has completed 2 decades of academic service to rural students. It focuses in the overall development of its students

K.R. College of Arts and Science Admission 2024 

The institution provides undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses, desirous students can apply for the same provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria. Admission is given on the basis of marks obtained in 12th grade for UG courses and degree marks for PG programmes. Application form can be filled in online mode.

Eligibility criteria

For undergraduate programmes, the candidate seeking admission must have passed the test held by a Board or University at the +2 level of education, or an equivalent, in order to be considered.

Candidates for postgraduate study must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution or college.

UG and PG admission

The college provides admission not only in undergraduate but also in post graduate courses. The duration of degree programmes like B. A, B. Com, B. Sc is for 3 academic years having six semesters in total whereas for masters the duration is 2 years having 4 semesters.
