The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has authorised the P. A. College of Education, which is affiliated with Tamil Nadu Teachers University in Chennai Trained and experienced teaching professionals regularly design and provide high-quality instruction to pupils. To all qualifying students, the institution provides the Bachelor of Education B.Ed., degree programme of study in the following optional: Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, and History, Computer Science, Commerce, and Economics.
The institution began operations with its first batch in the 2009-10 academic year and is ably led by Chairman Dr. P. Appukutty. The college is located on the outskirts of Pollachi amid the beautiful surroundings of puliyampatty. It is around 8 kilometres from Pollachi. Students may easily access the campus thanks to frequent public transportation service from Pollachi and a stop intersection on the College road. Students are provided with bus transportation by the College. A hostel facility is provided for an extra fee. Please check with the college office about using the facility.

Eligibility & Admission
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE B.Ed PROGRAMME

A applicant shall be able to get admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course (in Government/Government Aided/Self-Financing Institutes of Education) given.
Candidates must have completed the 10+2+3(15) or 11+1+3(15) study pattern and managed to pass the certification test operated by the respective State Board or CBSE or any other recognised Board of Education / Examination and Ug & pg Examination of the UGC recognised Universities in any of the academic classes suggested by the Directorate of School Education at the Secondary / Higher Higher Education level.
Qualifying  in 11 years SSLC Examination and one year Pre-University Course (P.U.C) examination or 10+2 pattern of School Education Examination are very important for admission, even if they later qualify in one year SSLC and one year PUC or 10+2 pattern of School Education Examination and have cleared all their UG PG qualifications.
Candidates who have completed the P.G. Degree in 
Home Science,
 Economics, 
Commerce, 
Political Science, 
Sociology, Psychology,
 Logic, Indian Culture, 
and Philosophy 
with at least 50% marks are eligible for admission, subject to the condition that the major subject in the UG and PG Degrees be the same.
Admissions will be considered for candidates who have completed the PG Degree (5 year integrated course) following the 10 + 2 + 5 or 11+1+5 pattern of study.

The placement booklet is issued to all prestigious schools in Pollachi Taluk. These interviews, which took place in April, benefited students and instructors. The grad teacher selection programme chose over 65 students - instructors.
