About the college
Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar College is situated in Usilampatta, Tamil Nadu. This college is affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University and was started with fund of the Kallar Community and is administered by The KALLAR KALVI KAZHAGAM. The college was inaugurated on 05.07.1968 By Dr.T.P .Meenakshi Sundaram , The then Vice Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University,Madurai. This society of their locality wanted to be a college here. So, there thought came into existence by the price list effort of the P.K. MOOKIAN THEVAR B.A.M.P & M.L.A, V.K.C. NATARAJAN, IAS and other well wishers of the community. The college campus is a spreaded over the land of 54.65 acres to start this Institute the funds where raised by the Panchayat union farmers the teachers and the common funds provided by PIRAMALAI KALLAR Community. The college logo is made by comparison face tiger and bow with arrow with symbolise the composition of the earth while tamilnadu with D3 kingdoms of pandya Nadu solar Nadu and chera Nadu respectively the main aim of this college is to uplift the living condition of roller for Higher learning to give life training to the existing socio economic context and calculate sense of nationalism and spiritual
