About the college

Theivanai Ammal Women  [TACW] is an autonomous college located in Viluppuram, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1989 by E.S Educational Charities. It is affiliated to the Annamalai University and has been recognised by NAAC and UGC. As a college established for women, its mission is to empower young women of rural areas with opportunities of academic and holistic advancement and encourage them to be contributors to society and themselves. The campus is thus furnished with the common facilities like canteen, hostel, transportation, library, prayer hall, sports and NCC activities. For programs offered, undergraduate and postgraduate courses with M.Phil and Ph.D degrees are available too. 

TACW Admission 2024 

Bachelor's of different streams are available. For Arts, Tamil, English and Journalism and Mass Communication. For Science, subjects are BioChemistry, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Psychology, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, and Costume Design and Fashion Technology. For Commerce, a general degree is available as is International Accounting and Taxation, and Computer Application. Bachelor's Computer Applications and Bachelor's in Business Administration are viable options too. 

Master's of different streams are available. For Arts, Tamil and English programs are offered, and for Commerce, a general Master's can be chosen. For Science, BioChemistry, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics are available. 

Eligibility 

HSC-passed students are eligible for all the courses above. In addition to this, a Bachelor's degree requires a previous study in similar subjects. 

Similarly, applying for Master's degrees requires a previous Bachelor's degree in the similar subject. 

Process 

Forms for application must be downloaded from the website. Students must thus pay a fee of Rs. 350 at the time of registration. This can be done through cash or by Demand Draft (DD). For documents, copies of the academic transcripts before, passport photos and income certificate (for SC/ST scholarships) are required to be attached.
