About the college 

Thiru. Vi. Ka. Govt. Arts College  [TVKGAC] is an institute located in Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu. In the year 1970, it was established as the “Kalaignar Karunanidhi Government Arts College”. The college was built thanks to the contribution of Mr.T.V.Andhoni and other officials. It is affiliated to the Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. The primary vision of TVKGAC is to instill professional-level research habits and provide high-quality education for the upliftment and empowerment of aspiring youths. The college’s infrastructure thus has equipped facilities like first-class classrooms, ICT classrooms, media centre, AV rooms, laboratories, playgrounds and others. Similarly, TVKGAC offers many opportunities for other activities such as seminars, workshops, celebration of days, rallies and special projects and publications to encourage research. Academically, TVKGAC has a range of subjects and courses - undergraduate, portsgraduate, Ph.D and M.Phil - for the benefits of the many routes a student can choose from. 

TVKGAC Admission 2024 

The U.G. degrees offered are Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Business Administration. UG subjects - in English or Tamil Medium of different levels - available are: Tamil, English, History, Economic, Commerce, Journalism and Mass Communication, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer science, Botany, and Zoology. 

For postgraduate applicants, the degrees offered are Master of Arts, Master of Commerce, and Master of Science. PG subjects - in English medium (except Tamil subject) - available are: English, History, Economics, Commerce, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Computer science. 

Eligibility 

To be considered for an undergraduate degree, the applicant must present a XIIth level passing grade. Similarly, to be considered for a postgraduate degree, it is necessary to present a related Bachelor’s degree.

Process

Interested candidates should apply to the college in person after procuring the application form. It is necessary to carry all relevant documents like academic reports, conduct certificate, transfer certificate, community certificate and copies of the Ration card and the Aadhar Card.
