About the college 

Vivekanandha College Of Nursing is a medical institution located in Tiruchengodu, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1993. It is recognized by the State Nursing council, Government of Tamil Nadu, and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. It is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. The institute is founded by Professor Dr. M. Karunanithi, the philanthropist who established the Angammal Educational Trust, Krishna Educational and Charitable Trust, and others. The college holds the belief and purpose of shaping raw talent into intellectually, morally, spiritually, emotionally and socially competent nurses. Several facilities, to name a few, provided within the campus are library, laboratories, hostel, auditorium, banking, internet, transportation, and many others. Under a Bachelor’s of Science, students can specialise in Nursing for a period of 4 years plus an internship. Under a Master’s of Science, students can specialise in Nursing and all relevant subunits during a length of 2 years. Another choice can be made with a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM), which consists of several aspects of the nursing field both physical and psychological, and is a program of 3 years. Lastly, a Post Basic Bachelor of.Science (P.B.B.Sc) in Nursing is a viable choice. The course integrates the physical, sociological and administrative units of the nursing profession as well.

Eligibility 

A minimum age of 17 to a maximum of 35 years applies. In terms of B.Sc and M.S degrees, academic transcripts of passed 10th and 10+2 board examinations with science subjects are required. M.Sc in Nursing additionally demands a UG or diploma certificate, to be a registered with the Nursing Registration Council, and to have 1 year of work experience to be eligible. Likewise, for a P.B.B.Sc, a diploma in Nursing is necessary, with being registered with the Nursing Registration Council.
