Originally started in 1919 as Calcutta Research Tannery and now known as Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology. It has the affiliation of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. It is a government college having the approval of AICTE.

Admission Process

The application process is offline and one can find it in their portal or may visit the college. The filling of the form should be correct. And one must attach all the documents asked in it. Pay ₹200 as application fees.

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech.

only three specializations are given which are Leather Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology. Candidates have to obtain 45% marks in their 12th board with PCM as a stream. Valid scores are required in WB-JEE for admission.

Those who want to enter as a Lateral Entry have to clear the JELET exam.

For M.Tech.

Offers the course in Leather Technology only. Bachelor's degree with 55% is required the most. College selects the students according to merit generated in the qualifying exam.

For Advanced Certificate Course

Two years course in Advanced Certificate Course in Boot, Shoe & Leather Goods Manufacture is provided here. Written tests are conducted by them and so the selection is done. Madhyamik or its equivalent is to be completed for enrollment.
