The State Institute of Hotel Management is an institute imparting education in the field of hotel management. The institute is situated in Durgapur, West Bengal. 

Previously, the institute was named as “Aahoran” by the Minister of West Bengal Ms. Mamta Banarjee. The university is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management Catering Technology. 

   The total number of faculties available in the institute are 13 which are experts in their respective fields. The gender intake in the institute is co-education.

COURSES OFFERED:-  

The courses offered at State Institute of Hotel Management Durgapur are as follows:-

Bachelor of Science [B.Sc.] {Hospitality and Hotel Administration}:-

Duration: 3 Years.

Total Fees: 2.43 Lakhs.

Streams Offered: Hospitality and Hotel Administration.

Eligibility: Candidates who want to take admission in the State Institute of Hotel Management have to complete their 12th from a recognized board with minimum marks of 55%. English would be the compulsory subject. 

Diploma:-

Duration: 1 year 6 months.

Streams Offered: Housekeeping, Food Production, Bakery and Confectionary, Front Office, Food Beverage Service. 

Eligibility: Interested students must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board. 

Admission Process:-

For taking admission in the State Institute of Hotel Management in B.Sc course, students are required to get a good score in the entrance examination which is NCHMCT JEE. 

Similarly, for taking admission in the Diploma Course, students must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board.
